 Arnold Palmer

On a beautiful October Homecoming weekend, Wake Forest University honored golfing legend Arnold Palmer with the unveiling of a 9’ bronze statue at the Arnold Palmer Golf Complex on the University campus. With Mr. Palmer at the center of the festivities, the crowd was delighted with the depiction of Arnold in his famous contorted pose after taking a big swing during the ’64 masters tournament. The statue celebrates the Demon Deacons’ most famous alum and also serves as a reminder of the proud history and tradition of Wake Forest golf.

To see a sculpture of myself and to see so many people out there having so much fun and appreciating what Wake Forest can do for them, is one of the great honors of my life.
— Arnold Palmer, Unveiling Ceremony

Mario Lemieux

Almost 6,000 fans packed Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center plaza to watch the unveiling of “Le Magnifique”, a spectacular statue dedicated to the career achievements of their hero, Mario Lemieux. The statue is unique with the utilization of three 10’ sized figures, to create the action of an iconic play where Mario Lemieux breaks through two defenders in route to a dramatic scoring play.  Powerful in symbolism and a metaphor for his accomplishments both on and off the ice, the statue is an appropriate tribute to a man who has touched the lives of so many people in the Pittsburgh community.

Bruce, wonderful job. On behalf of myself, my family and the Pengiun ownership. I’m sure the fans will be able to enjoy it for years to come. Great job.
— Mario Lemieux, Hockey Legend, Pittsburgh Penguins

Lamar Hunt

Visionary.  Pioneer.  Innovator.  These are words that describe a man who meant so much to the formation of the NFL and Major League Soccer and are etched on three bronze statue bases in three different states.  In 2010 the Hunt Family and Hunt Sports commissioned a nine foot statue that honored the essence of a man who loved his fans and family.  The completed statue would be formed in triplicate and unveiled at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium, FC Dallas’ Toyota Stadium and the Columbus Crews’ Crew Stadium.  It was an honor to depict such a wonderful man and produce a lasting piece of art for his family and fans to enjoy.

Family members have different perspectives, but everyone of us said wow, that’s dad.”
— Clark Hunt, Chairman and CEO, Kansas City Chiefs
